| Only about 5 Km west of Lagos, Prai da luz a pleasant village with supermarkets and small shops sloping down to a superb sand beach offering a broad range of water-sports, including windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving. |

| The cliff pathways above the breach afford excellent walks, e.g., to Porto de Mós, about 2 ½ Km to the east (you can even walk all the way to Lagos if you want.) Another pleasant walk is in the opposite direction towards Burgau. In the village of Praia da Luz, try the Dolphin restaurant with its selection of exotic South African dishes in addition to good traditional Portuguese Fare. |
| At about 1 Km outside the main village, on the Burgau road there is the Bar Carib complex where you can enjoy not only “the best English breakfast in the Algarve” but also a follow up game of tennis – to work it off! |
